Introduction:

For the last number of years the Finance Committee of the Parish, and more recently the Parish Pastoral Council, have been discussing the need for a Parish Pastoral Centre, The proposed Pastoral Centre will be a lay-led initiative seeking to provide for the educational, spiritual and liturgical needs of the present and next generation. The purpose of the consultation on the weekend of 13/14 June, impressively headed up Ciaran, Chair of the Finance Committee, and Sean, Chair of the Parish Pastoral Council, was to hear the view of parishioners on the proposal. The feedback was very positive and some helpful suggestions were offered which the Architect should be able to incorporate into the draft design. It is expected that a "Buildings Committee" and a "PR-Fundraising Committee" will be established in the near future to advance the project. All comments and suggestions about the proposed Parish Pastoral Centre are welcome at this stage so that we can harness the gifts and wisdom in the community.
