A Word from Fr Jim
You will notice that each week in the bulletin we are including two reflections; these reflect our mission of contemplation and action. The contemplative piece is by
Fr Laurence Freeman, a Benedictine Monk, the director of the ‘World Community of Christian Meditation’ and my own spiritual teacher.
The action piece is by Dorothy Day, the late founder of the Catholic Worker
and a true voice for the poor.
I would also like to mention that we are trying to keep the Church open for prayer during the day.
If you call in please turn the lights on only when you need and then turn them off.
This includes all lights in the Church, Pastoral Centre and Corridor. It’s not good, from an environmental point of view as well as the big bills, to have any lights on when they are not needed.
We have a poem from Sr Rosa in the newsletter this week who recently spoke to us about China.
She sends her love and thanks for your generosity.
With Love Fr Jim
