A Word from Father Jim
In these times when Covid restrictions are being lifted
we are all hoping that the opening up of things will go
well . I take this opportunity of welcoming everyone
back to personal attendance in our church . We will
continue to be careful, sanitizing our hands and wearing
masks, so please consider returning if you have been
away for a while. A computer screen can never replace
being together to pray and worship.
We need to be together. Everybody is welcome.
I have spent two lovely days in the
Benedictine Monastery Glenstal. It’s located in Murrow
Co Limerick. It’s the place I have always gone to renew
my spiritual batteries. I was glad to meet Father Fintan
( Paddy ) Lyons who sends his regards to his many
friends in Balally. I invited him up for a weekend to
meet his many friends here and he will come in April
and speaking of Glenstal…their liturgies are lovely.
Join them online some night for Compline
( Night Prayer). It lasts 15 minutes and begins 8.35.
It’s a thing of beauty.
Stay safe and well May the Lord bless our parish as we
enter a new phase
With love
Father Jim
