A Word from Fr Jim
I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Brendan Conroy as the new
Pastoral Leader of the Parish Pastoral Centre. In making the appointment we followed all the directions of the Diocese and Brendan emerged as an excellent candidate. Brendan’s appointment is not as an administrator of the centre but to work closely with the Parish Pastoral Council and myself, to implement our mission statement of “Building Hope” by meditation and service.
The Centre is not a commercial enterprise, but a sanctuary and oasis where all feel welcome and at home, particularly the poor and lonely. Brendan will support the existing groups who use the centre and bring in new people, especially the young people and children. The Centre is not just a social club, but a place where meditation is taught and practised and all are served. Brendan is a deeply committed catholic who resides with his wife Breda and their 4 children in Dundrum. He is a man of great kindness, a leader with a vision of the future in line with our parish mission.
May the Lord bless his new ministry in Balally.
With my love and blessing
Fr Jim
Fr Jim,as a member of a Christian meditation group in Co.Antrim, I am delighted to read about what you are doing in that area in your parish.
I saw the very positive article Fr.Lawrence Freeman wrote about you in the W.C.C.M .newsletter.
Wishing you success in your initiative,
