Youth Worker

We will shortly welcome Emma Livingstone to the parish to work with us as a youth minister for a year. Emma is a native of South Carolina (beside Mepkin Abbey) Please pray for a fruitful ministry for her.

Ukraine

Thanks to all who bought the candles for Ukraine (beautifully made by Sr Mary Gabrielle from St Alphonsus Monastery, Iona Road.)

We collected €775.00 and the money will be sent to

‘Listen’

Ukraine

the meditators there are deeply involved in humanitarian aid.

Funeral Eulogies

In light of feedback (positive or negative) on the recent announcement on Eulogies,

the liturgy group has decided after a lengthy discussion, that if a family wishes to have a short Eulogy that  it may take place at the end of Mass.

Church opening

The Church is now opened most of the day for private prayer.

All welcome.

New Pastoral Council

I have pleasure in announcing our new Parish Pastoral Council, which will take office, when they and all other Ministers are commissioned by Fr Dermot and myself at

‘Sung Night Prayer compline’ on Monday October 3rd @ 7pm

In selecting new members, I have chosen people who have not previously served and are willing to put our mission of Building Hope through meditation and service into practice.

The new members are…

Martina Kavanagh (Chair), David Healy, Sr Mary Leahy, Sarah Lane, John Ryan, Ciara Downs, Cinzia Angius, Esther Campbell, Paula McCarthy, Pasquale Mellone, Fr Dermot and myself.

As a result of Martina’s appointment, she will resign as chair of the Finance committee and be replaced by Gerry Fagan

With my love & Blessing

Fr Jim
