The feast of the Ascension (24 th May) is the feast day of our Parish.
Over the last few years we have marked the day by special prayers and a celebration of all who have contributed with their talents, their time and their treasure to the building and sustaining of this marvellous community. We even have our own holy-donuts for the day.
This year we will have to mark it in a different way. So on the 24 th from 20.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs we will play your favourite hymns, your favourite violin music and read your favourite poems. Please send in your requests by email, carrier pigeon, smoke signals, letter or post card to the Parish or to ogobroin@gmail.com we will make a selection of
what is most requested and what is possible.
We will begin with benediction and a remembrance of those who have died in the Pandemic.
My favourite poem is ‘When All the Others were away at Mass’ by Seamus Heaney
Thank you Jimmy!
