From The Pastor's Desk: 28/04/2016

This week saw a return to normal activities in the Parish. The Parish Team and the Liturgy Committee had their meetings in preparation for several wonderful events that will take place over the month of May (including Ascension Sunday the feast day of the Parish …  Holy Donuts  for everyone in the audience). The maintenance and gardening teams were busy keeping the Parish and the Parish centre in order and putting in some new features. You will have noticed the new garden as you enter the church; the garden outside the sacristy is also being renewed.

There has been a slow uptake of the Papal document “Amoris Laetitia” (The joy of Love) that has been made available in the Church Porch.  The document is the conclusions of two synods to which our Parish had contributed through the Parish assemblies.

Funny … not so funny:

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.”

Groucho Marx

Did you ever hear the like?

“The nation doesn’t simply need what we have. It needs what we are.”

St. Teresia Benedicta (Edith Stein)
