This Week:
The arrival of May has been highlighted by the rousing singing of the “Queen of the May” at every Mass. In spite of the the bank holiday and the midterm break in the primary schools a lot was happening in the Parish. Members of the finance committee had to meet in Clonliffe to participate in the updating and consolidation of financial practices. Preparations were made for the celebration of the Parish Feast Day on Sunday (all the donuts in a five mile radius were put on alert). Practicing for the upcoming concerts took place in the Church. An important exploratory meeting was held between Sandyford and Balally on the theme of Youth Ministry. A couple of young people spoke of the programmes in place in Dublin diocese for young people . The young people were so good they we invited them to speak at Masses in September.
The Ladies club had their annual Mass for their deceased members
Funny … not so funny:
“My Dad told me to go to wherever my dreams brought me … so I went back to bed”

Did you ever hear the like?
“O Holy Spirit, descend plentifully into my heart. Enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling and scatter there Thy cheerful beams.”
St. Augustine
