Ever wanted to explore the important things in life? Never really understood the Christian faith or been inside a church? Maybe you gave up on it a long time ago. Alpha was designed for you, or anyone who doesn’t go into a church much, if at all.
Beginning on January 24th 2017 in the Murray Centre for 10 weeks, you are invited to come and explore the basics of the Christian faith, in a friendly and informal environment. Each week comprises food, a short talk and a discussion afterwards where you can share your thoughts. Topics include: ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘Why and How Do I pray?’ and ‘How does God guide us?’ with a 1 day retreat covering the topic of the Holy Spirit, led by Fr. Pat Collins C.M.
Many people have found meaning in life and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as a result of doing Alpha. Young adults (18+) are particularly welcome. To register and to find out more, visit www.newtownparkalpha.com. There is no charge for the course.
Alpha currently runs in 169 countries. Over 29 million people have attended Alpha worldwide and approx. 20,000 people attended in Ireland.
