New Balally Parish Logo
For the 40th anniversary of the church in October 2022 an art competition was held in Queen of Angels School to design a new parish logo to depict our new mission of Meditation and Service.
The winning drawing was by Mark Kurcz, a 5th class pupil in Ms. Dunne’s class.
Mark’s drawing inspired the new parish logo which was designed by Cinzia Angius, a member of the Parish Pastoral Council.
The link between Mark’s drawing and the parish logo is that both capture the relationship with the burning bush on the wall in our church.
The new parish logo reminds us that we are guided by the presence of God in the burning bush in the old Testament, the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist in the new Testament, and the ongoing presence of Christ in the sacrament of the Eucharist.
The two doves symbolise Meditation and Service to enable us to become disciples of Jesus on our Building Hope journey.
The new logo is now displayed on the outside of the Parish Pastoral Centre. The funding for the logo and installation was kindly donated to Balally Parish by Fanagans in Dundrum.
