- We ask you to prepare your own palms for Palm Sunday
- The SEVEN WORDS will start at 15.00 and include a reflection, music and prayer. It will last 25 minutes/
- The Penitential service will finish with the Act of Contrition which we are encouraged to use when we cannot get physically to confession.
- Please prepare a candle for the Easter Vigil that we will all light together when the priest blesses the Paschal Candle.
- All of the Liturgies will have to be adapted to the circumstances we are living and to the limitations of the space , the webcam and the celebrant.
- We invite Parishioners to make a sacred space for Holy Week where elements of the liturgies are placed (Palm, Holy Water, Cross, candle etc.)
(The Parish Priest promises not to sing … you’re suffering enough as it is)
Prayer in the Darkness
O Lord, support us all day long,
until the shadows lengthen,
and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over,
and our work is done.
Then in your mercy,
grant us a safe lodging and a holy rest,
and peace at last. Amen.
I think that creating our own sacred space at home where the elements of the liturgies are placed is a lovely suggestion.
