After the joys of the Parish Party, organised by generous volunteers, we had another important lay participation in the Sunday Liturgies. The Finance committee, through the Chairperson, explained at every Mass the economic situation of the Parish; applause was heard on each occasion showing the esteem in which those who work behind the scenes are held. Even though the First Communions seem so far away the “Do This in Memory” team had its first meeting this week to inform the parents of the Communion Classes what the programme entails and to ask for their support. Continuing the Summer tradition in the Parish, “Morning Prayer of the Church” was held on Thursday at 10.00 and continues every Thursday for the summer months. On a sadder note; many parishioners have signed the six Mass cards to be sent to the families who lost loved ones in the tragic accident in California.
