This day next week, Thursday 11th February, 2021 we call to mind another Thursday 11th February, in 1858, when Our Blessed Lady appeared to a young girl, Bernadette Soubirous at Massabielle , in Lourdes. This most famous of Holy Shrines is known worldwide.
Millions of pilgrims have visited the beautiful grotto at Lourdes. Many Great graces have been obtained at this holiest of places. Many miracles have occurred here down through the years. All who have visited have been touched in one way or another. I was privileged to visit Lourdes many years ago and it was an unforgettable experience. Although you saw very many sick people there, the overall feeling was of peace and happiness. It was most certainly a feeling of Heaven on earth.
Today as we celebrate the apparitions of Our Blessed Lady at Lourdes, we graciously ask her to intercede for us all at this time.
