The Raging Storm

The Raging Storm

I went into the Church

There was nobody there

I knelt down in the pew

To say a short prayer

I looked up at the Tabernacle

So shiny and bright

And began to realise

We are not alone

In our plight

I thought of the time

In the boat long ago

When you stretched out your

Hand and calmed the oceans below

To-day Dear Lord the battle we fight

Is a raging storm of a different type

We ask you Dear Lord

Stretch out your hand once more

Guide us safely through this crisis

Grant us freedom once more
