From Fr. Peter's Desk: 25th April, 2017

This Week, the Parish Team had their weekly meeting to evaluate the Lenten
and Easter events and to prepare for the very busy schedule of
Confirmations, Communions and graduations.

Wednesday saw the gathering of the Funeral Team for the yearly review and a
most wonderful meal.

The Funeral Team is on duty at every funeral and not alone do the members
prepare the Church but they welcome visitors and assist in the liturgy
itself. Without doubt it is one of the most challenging of all the
ministries in our community and one that is done with such dedication and
generosity.

On Friday the Reader’s Club had their Easter trip to the National Gallery
to contemplate the wonderful Caravaggio paintings on view. Afterwards they
shared their thoughts as they substantially reduced the world burger
population. It was great fun and very interesting.

The upcoming visit of the Youth group from Pittsburgh was highlighted at
each of the Sunday Masses and several volunteer families came forward to
offer hospitality.

The family offering envelopes were set out in the porch of the church for
each family to pick up.
