Thanks for letting me know and good to see you today. I have accessed the
website no problem and after some optimization I have managed to get the
page load speed from 14s to 8s (source: gtmetrix.com)
The main causes of the slow speed seem to be:
– images too heavy – although I have optimized in bulk most of the
images some are still too heavy
– number of plugins – the number of active plugins is very high. If some
of these are not currently being used we might want to deactivate them
– server – not sure what hosting plan the website is on but it seems it
has an impact on overall performance
