Father Paul Ludden encourages us all to help bring about God’s Kingdom on earth through leading people to Jesus Christ, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

  “Do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows”. Jesus tells us there is nothing to fear if we trust in God and live by His words.

Job was severely tested by God, losing everything, goods, family and even health, but he never lost his trust in God. “Naked I came into the world and naked I will leave it”.  

The feast of St. Matthew, tax collector and Apostle. Jesus said “I came to call sinners, not the virtuous”. God chose the Jewish people to be an example to other peoples in the world of the greatness and goodness of God. We today must also be an example to others of that same God.  

St. Luke Ch6.  The person who tries to remove a splinter from another’s eye and does not see the beam in beam in their own eye.

Jesus asked the congregation in the synagogue “Is it not allowed to do good deeds on the Sabbath?” And then he healed the man’s hand.

Pope Francis requested today to be a day of special prayers and support for the people of Lebanon after the explosion in Beirut.

St. Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians tells of the Lord’d 2nd coming, the judgement. We should not fear this coming, not because we are good but because the Lord is good and loves and forgives us so much.
