From Fr. Peter's Desk, 30th September, 2018

As the Autumn takes hold and we are reminded of Creation Time (please see
the lovely poster on the wall of the Church) in the Prayers of the
Faithful. The Parish continues to be a busy place. The six meetings of the
Parish community have taken place during the week, and some interesting
points have been discussed. The compiled notes from the meetings will be
included in a special edition of the Bulletin.

The Family Mass Team is up and running and, in coordination with the
Reader’s Club, helped to organise the 10.00 Mass.

Another team that helps to make the Parish a welcoming place is the Failte
team who look after people in the Coffee dock on Sundays. The Parish Centre
was built precisely to offer a welcoming space to Parishioners where they
could get to know each other, have a chat with friends after Mass and
complain about Fr Peter’s homilies… It is five years functioning and has
contributed enormously to the life of the Parish. The centre is being given
a face-lift to make it even more homely, safer, reduce noise levels and
make it easier for people to chat with each other. The upgrading of the
centre will take a few months to complete.
