Hi Pasquale,
To facilitate migrations to the new hosting service I propose to do the
following;
– Purchase ‘*WordPress Standard Hosting*’ @ *€ 98.34 p.a.*
– no dedicated backup storage *(use free google drive space)*
– no email filter *(balallyparish.ie <balallyparish.ie> email
service not used)*
– no SSL Certificate service *(DIY gogetssl.com <gogetssl.com>
instead, as below)*
– Purchase balallyparish.ie and balallyppc.ie *Domain Transfer *@ *€
24.48 p.a.*
– Purchase *Basic SSL certificate* at gogetssl.com @* € 10 p.a.* (two
sites)
So, total yearly costs, for both sites of approx. *€ 135 p.a.*
Could you please advise on the appropriateness of this proposal and whether
any items are missing?
Fr. Peter, can purchases for Balally Parish be made under ‘Catholic
Archdiocese of Dublin’ (Registered Charity) and therefore qualify for VAT
payment compensation? Or would this introduce a complicated bureaucracy? If
purchases are not made under the Archdiocese, how are payments normally
made for the Parish? I guess there are no ‘online’ payment facilities?
Perhaps we can take this discussion during Saturday’s meeting?
Kind Regards,
Seamus.
