Brid,
We had a good meeting with the communications team today and there are a
few inciatives.
1. On the bulletin every week we are going to put 2 elements:
– website of the week (Seamus)
– Young persons web suggestion for the week (Matthew)
These will be put on the notices for each Sunday so that we can highlight
them to the whole congregation and get them to use the web.
2. On the second of December (to be confirmed) we are going to have a
professional photographer come fo the 10.00 Mass (DTIM) who will take
photos of the Mass the Church and the people (especially the PPC members).
Matthew is also going to take photos from the air with a drone. These will
all be used for the images on the updated website. We can also update our
photos of the coffee dock.
3. On the 24th of Nov the next comms meeting will take place and we will be
deciding on a final structure for the new web page and also a possible new
Logo for the parish. Please put in the bulletins and announcements an
invitation to all people to make suggestions and questions about these two
items.
4. We are going to have to sit down with each team/group/society in the
parish to get photos and get a contact person for each one so that we can
use the webpage to invite people into the different ministries and groups.
5. We also want to get the confirmation classes to draw a picture of the
church (I’ll see this with he teachers) and we will get them on the wall
and then onto the web.
