This section of St. Matthew’s Gospel focuses on Jesus instructing the disciples.
“It is not peace I have come to bring, but a sword” – As we follow Jesus there may be times when we have to speak the message of Jesus, even when we know we will be rejected. Jesus reminds us of the importance of living with justice and care, even when it is difficult and may cause conflict within our own lives. We must respond to the call of Jesus, and tackle the social inequalities in today’s world.
